Quality

Rocks originating from Piława Górna deposit belong to the rocks transformed from the magma rock. The deposit is formed by the mixture of interwoven layers of amphibolites and migmatite having similar qualities in proportion 30:70.

Undoubtedly the advantage of migmatite and amphibolite aggregates is a high polishing resistance ratio (PSV – 57), low water absorption and high freeze resistance and excellent adhesion to bitumen. Aggregate extracted in DSS quarry in Piława Górna meets the highest requirements of the Polish and European standards. Therefore it is an excellent material for the construction of all road types.

Additional advantage of migmatite is fair colour due to which it is applicable to all mineral-asphalt mixtures and in particular to the wearing coarse (both in connection with other aggregates e.g. basalt as well as with 100 per cent. own share).

Aggregate produced by DSS is subject to the constant supervision of the Plant Laboratory and reputable research institutes:
